Microsoft announces two new xbox consoles
At this year’s E3 Event, Microsoft have announced the imminent release of the Xbox One S, as well as discussing Project Scorpio.
In a move that has surprised few due to numerous rumours and leaks, Microsoft have unveiled a slimmer re-design of it’s popular Xbox One console, the Xbox One S.
With up to 2TB of storage, the other stand-out features of the Xbox One S is 4K playback for content (not games however), HDR capabilities and 40% smaller than the Xbox One. It also features an integrated power supply, an IR Blaster to control over devices and full compatibility with existing Xbox One accessories.
HDR capable, this new Xbox will utilise the new HDR technology in the latest TVs available, with new titles Gears of War 4 and Forza Horizon 3.
Also announced was Project Scorpio, dubbed “the most powerful console ever”, this in-development console will be optimised to run 4K and high-quality VR straight from the get-go, scheduled for release towards the end of 2017.
This third Xbox One generation console will again share accessories between existing Xbox Ones, offers a spectrum of consoles for potential customers depending on their preferences and budgets.
The Xbox One S will be released in August 2016, and is reported to be around £210.00.
