DSA Information
DSA Guide for Students
(DSAs) provide extra financial help for disabled students.
You may get DSAs if you have a disability, ongoing health condition, mental-health condition or specific learning difficulty like dyslexia.
The process is as follows:
Assessment
Once diagnosed and given eligibility to claim DSA, an assessment will be booked with your local centre. They will discuss options that are available and demonstrate equipment.
Quote
Quotes are collected from suppliers, such as ourselves for all of the items.
Report
A needs equipment report is written with all the information on your DSA needs. This is submitted to the funding body and agreed upon.
Equipment
When funding is agreed, the equipment can be ordered. This process usually takes around 10 working days from sending in paperwork to delivery. During the order process you will also be given the option to upgrade.
Delivery
Your equipment will be delivered and setup for you at home or at your university address. We will also give you a brief overview of the equipment.
Training
Training may be offered to allow you to get the most out of the software and equipment. This will be carried out by our qualified trainers at your address.
Support
All our machines come with full technical support, be it hardware or software, we’re on hand to help you with any queries
Consumables
As part of DSA, students get an allowance for general purchases. This can be used for items such as inks for your printer, paper, pens, pencils and notepads etc. We have a selection of deals for students at time of order or during your studies
